The word "job" is another word added to our lexicon of counterfeit words. The word is tossed about by everyone as if they all agreed to its meaning. Politicians are praised if they offer legislation that is supposed to be dedicated to "job creation." Once such legislation is passed, unemployment benefits are extended to give the "jobs" bill time to kick in. In the meantime, the poor jobless person sits around waiting for something to happen. This is a cycle of poverty and will insure that this person stays poor all the while going to the polls and voting to keep the people in power who are the architects of his poverty. After all, everyone knows that we are all "entitled" to well paying jobs, and the "rich" must be compelled to their "fair share" to provide income for everyone else. If you think this process is accidental, you grossly underestimate the sophistication of the process that starts with public education, is actively promoted by entertainment programming on TV, and is actively promoted by so-called "news sources."
What does all of this mean?
If the word "job" is more precisely defined as "employment," it takes on entirely new meaning. Employment is what I do every day to create wealth for others and in the process for myself. If I work for a company, I strive to secure the company's success. I use all of my skills and talents to attract customers to our business and serve them well when they purchase our goods and services. If I am self employed, I work very hard to serve my existing customers well. These people tell others and I develop a reputation for quality and honesty in my own community. When someone needs the kind of service I provide, my name is at the top of the list.
Employment has a much broader meaning when it includes all of the survival skills that I develop for myself: I learn how to maintain my car and my equipment. I learn how to repair my own home. I learn how to keep myself from getting sick. I learn how to paint, till a garden, teach my kids how to do things. In short, I have a very well-paying second job that creates both tangible and intangible wealth for myself. I can choose to be employed or unemployed
Looked this way, it is obvious that a "job" cannot be conferred upon someone by anybody. Payment for non-work deprives the overall society of the wealth work should produce as well as squanders the wealth of those who have already earned it.
We owe it to ourselves to develop our own skills and talents so that we are valuable to others. In return, we receive payment for our services. Remember, when it comes time for a company to reduce its work force, they never lay off the people who are creating their success.
My question is, seekers, will we choose to be jobless and unemployed or will we get up every morning determined to advance ourselves and the people we serve? Will we choose to be employed or wait around for the government to give us some money?

So What's Really Wrong With Evolution?
So much has been written about the "theory of evolution" that everybody seems to know exactly what it is and what its theological, historical and scientific ramifications are. It is undeniable that life on earth has gone through millions of years of change: the fossil record has a definite beginning and the diversity of life today came through a bewildering process loosely called "evolution."
So why is there any question about the process? It is self-evident that the process has occurred, or, more accurately, is occurring. The quaint old fairy tales found in religious literature like the Judeo-Christian bible have clearly been shown to be vanquished in light of current "scientific" discoveries'
The problem with the state of scientific "discoveries" lies in the fact that the mechanism by which one species morphs into another has never been discovered. The DNA molecule for each species shares the structural similarities between species, but the detailed features stored in the DNA of each species represents millions of instruction sets which define the species and prevents deviations from being introduced. In short the genetic code for each species is totally unique and very reliable. Life seems to be a staggeringly complex technology about which we know very little. The mutation idea of minute individual changes in the genetic code caused by cosmic radiation, lightning, environmental pressures, or "survival of the fittest" breeding pressures simply do not account for the evolution of one species into another. It is simply too much of a stretch to think that such changes could get all of the billions of data points right at the same time.
What does all of this mean?
The "scientists" who put forth the idea that so-called "natural" forces have produced the diversity of life that we see around us have voted and decided that it is the only way it could have happened since "we all know" that no outside or "supernatural" agency could be involved. This is an appeal to a personal ideology which has at its core a faith- based statement which asserts that "there is no god. therefore..." This is just another fairy tale that goes, "once upon a time millions of years ago..."
With so much unknown about the origins of life and the nature of genetic data storage, why do our schools and government teach it as fact? The answer is both simple and dangerous: The theory of evolution as an explanation for what we see around us permits cultural, moral and political relativism. There are no "ten commandments" to deal with or any objective standards for moral behavior. Man is just another animal who has been spewed up on this planet. Life has no meaning or purpose.
Some other serious problems with the theory of evolution are:
1. Seeds. Seeds are not living and could not have evolved.
2. Male and female. Since males and females are not genetically identical, they could not have come from the same ancestor.
3. All living creatures seem to know exactly what they are supposed to do - today. The universe seems to be permeated with purpose. All life seems to be purposeful.
So, seekers, when someone accuses you of believing in a fairy tale about our beginnings, just remember that the whole fairy tale of evolution is even more far-fetched than "In the beginning, God created the heavens and the earth...."
